Vitamins for weight loss: B vitamins

B vitamins are great allies for weight loss. Indeed, vitamin B1 (thiamine) is involved in the metabolism of glucose (sugar), as is vitamin B6 which is at the origin of the production of many digestive enzymes which participate in weight loss. These two vitamins are found in fruits and pulses, as well as in wheat germ and brewer’s yeast. Vitamin B3 plays an essential role in lipid synthesis and thermogenesis, which facilitates weight loss. Vitamins B2 (riboflavin) and B5 (pantothenic acid) promote the burning of fats and sugars. Likewise, vitamins B2, B7 and B8 are involved in the metabolism of sugars and fats. It is found in cereals, eggs, liver and some dairy products.

Other vitamins are useful for weight loss: vitamin E, which is involved in cholesterol, and vitamin D (in the form of food supplements and up to 1000 IU of vitamin D3).
